Reviving the ancient Guru-Shishya tradition, at Hare Krishna Mandir, Gaur City-2
Hare Krishna Mandir, Gaur City-2, was inaugurated with great enthusiasm on 15th July 2018. With the establishment of the temple and the blessings of Devadhidev Mahadev and all the gods, the vision for a Vedic school began to take shape — as the scriptures themselves declare:
वेदः शिवः शिवो वेदो वेदाध्यायी सदाशिवः ।
तस्मात् सर्वप्रयत्नेन वेदमेव सदाभ्येयेत् ॥
It took nearly four years for this vision to gradually take tangible form. On 29th January 2022, the establishment ceremony of Gaur Vedic Gurukulam was completed in the dignified presence of religious and social worker, President Smt. Manju Gaur, and Shri Manoj Gaur — founders of various social projects in the region.

Furthering the goals of Maharishi Sandipani Rashtriya Ved Vidya Pratishthan through the ancient Guru-Shishya method of Vedic study.
Vedas are assigned according to Rishi tradition and each student's Swagotra and Pravara, with deep, dedicated study of all four Vedas.
Daily routine including Trikal Sandhya, awakening patriotism, and an ideal code of conduct — shaping cultured, ideal citizens.
Alongside Vedic knowledge, students study Mathematics, English, Science, Social Science and Computer Education.
Learned Acharyas guide students through Udatt, Anudatt, Swarit, Hsva, Dirgha, Murdhanya, Talavya and Dantya swaras in the mantras.
Mornings bring pranayama, meditation and yoga; evenings bring sports — football, volleyball, badminton and cricket.
Each day begins with pranayama, meditation and yoga, grounding students before their studies. Academic and Vedic classes are held through the day, and evenings are set aside for sports — with full equipment provided for football, volleyball, badminton and cricket.
Our Gurukul students also take part in the temple's daily aartis, their young voices filling Hare Krishna Mandir with divine energy — a living reminder of why this Gurukulam exists in the first place.
Gaur Vedic Gurukulam is led by Secretary Acharya Shri Akhilesh Shukla Ji, alongside a dedicated team of teachers committed to giving their best, every day, for the continuous progress of the Gurukulam and its students.

A child who has completed Class 5 is eligible for admission to Gaur Vedic Gurukulam. This foundation in primary education helps a student grasp Vedic knowledge more easily and settle comfortably into the Gurukul's disciplined way of life.
There is no admission fee. All facilities — accommodation, food, medical care and study material — are provided free of cost, made possible entirely through donations and the trust's own funds.
To help students stay focused on their studies and daily discipline, parents are requested not to visit except during the summer vacation, when students return home for a short break. A student may visit their family once a year under normal circumstances. Exceptions are, of course, made for genuine family or medical emergencies — though minor health needs are already looked after within the Gurukul itself.
Students are supported through Class 12, receiving Vedic and academic education side by side. After Class 12, they are free to choose their path forward — those wishing to continue academically may be supported through Gurukul scholarships where needed, while those drawn to temple service may continue their training toward becoming a pandit.
